What it is
A solar thermal system uses roof-mounted collectors to heat the water stored in an insulated tank. On cloudy days an electric or gas backup keeps the temperature stable, so comfort never depends on the weather.
What is included
- Sizing memorandum based on real demand
- Collectors and insulated storage tank
- UV-protected insulated piping
- Automatic backup control
- Post-installation performance report
How it works
Demand study
We review occupancy, fixtures and usage habits to establish the real daily hot water demand.
Roof assessment
We check orientation, tilt, shading and structural capacity before specifying anything.
Installation
We mount the collectors, set the tank and run insulated, UV-protected piping.
Performance check
We log temperatures over full 24-hour cycles and hand over the measured gain.
Frequent questions
Does it work in winter?
Yes, with lower output. That is why every system is designed with a backup that tops up the temperature on low-radiation days.
How long is the payback?
It depends on consumption and on the energy source being replaced. Replacing electric showers, payback is commonly between two and four years.
How much maintenance does it need?
Light maintenance: collector cleaning, seal inspection and a backup check, recommended once a year.
